It is probably too late to get the time off work and make flight and hotel arrangements, but if you are in the Valley already, you might want to stop by the Santa Clara Convention Center from April 1-3 (just beware of having your leg pulled on the first day) for the Multicore Expo. Execs from Intel, RapidMind, Sun, and Texas Instruments will all be presenting on hardware, operating systems, and programming for multicore.
