Materialise Introduces Magics 19

New features include expanded modules, slice-based structures and 3-maticSTL Lightweights compatibility.

Additive manufacturing software company Materialise has launched Magics 19, the latest release of its STL file preparation software. The application includes features for repairing and optimizing 3D models, analyzing parts, making process-related design changes on STL files, designating fixtures, documenting projects and planning production.

With Build Processor technology, Magics 19 offers a full range of features designed for data preparation. They include:

  • Improved labeling and cutting
  • Upgraded reporting functionality
  • Slice distribution option for 3D nesting
  • New marking tools
  • Speed dial for quick access to most-used functions
  • Milling offset
Magics 19 also features updated and new modules. The SinterModule has been expanded by adding a slice distribution option for the 3D nester. This enables users to focus on part quality and avoid interlocking parts after nesting. New marking tools are now available in the Support Generation module for flexibility and control in the generation of supports. Available for specialized users is a new Tree Supports module.

Users also have access to slice-based structures, 3D textures and 3-maticSTL Lightweights compatibility.
