Measurement Computing’s new USB-2416 Series of multifunction measurement modules features up to 32 single-ended analog inputs with full 24-bit resolution and nine programmable voltage ranges. Each channel can be configured for differential input, and for voltage or thermocouples.

In thermocouple mode, the USB-2416 Series modules feature built-in cold-junction compensation and open thermocouple detection. They also have eight digital I/O lines, two 32-bit counters, and 1000 S/s aggregate throughput.

The USB-2416-4AO version includes four 16-bit analog outputs with a 10 V range and 1000 S/s aggregate update rate.

Features of the USB-2416 Series from Measurement Computing include:

  • 24-bit resolution
  • Configurable for thermocouple and/or voltage inputs
  • Up to 32 single-ended/16 differential analog inputs
  • 9 programmable input ranges from ±0.078 V to ±20 V
  • Supports J, K, T, E, R, S, B, or N type thermocouples
  • 1000 S/s aggregate throughput
  • 4 optional 16-bit analog outputs
  • 8 digital I/O lines
  • Two 32-bit counters
  • 500 VDC minimum isolation between field wiring and USB interface
