MecSoft Corporation (Irvine, CA) has recently released two new plug-ins, RhinoCAM and RhinoART, for Rhinoceros 4.0.

RhinoCAM is designed for mold, tool and die, woodworking rapid prototyping, and general machining applications. It offers toolpath generation as well as controlled cutting for detailed machining capabilities. It has all basic CAM functionality, but also has additional features for more sophisticated needs.

RhinoART can transform a 2D bitmap image into a sculptured native Rhino 3D geometry. This geometry can then be used as is or can be manipulated using Rhino’s modeling tools.

The recent upgrade to Rhino 4.0 is substantial, with hundreds of new features and enhancements, like greatly expanded mesh modeling and editing, new translators including Solidworks file loading, advanced display and rendering, and 2D geometry tools.
