MSC Software Releases SimManager 2014

This release focuses on user interface improvements and provides direct integration with CAE platforms.

MSC Software has launched SimManager 2014, which brings process enhancements and new functionalities to the company’s Simulation Process and Data Management solution. Version 2014 focuses on user interface improvements, enables ease-of-use and provides direct integration with CAE platforms.

Highlights of this release include:

  • Adams/CAR-SimManager Portal and Integration: This feature addresses the challenge of providing a platform for cooperation and global team participation in full vehicle multibody dynamics simulations.
  • SimManager Client Integration: This functionality provides direct support to retrieve a model, import or results files from SimManager and make modifications as well as publish changes all in the native application. Support has been added for the following platforms:
    • Patran 2010-14
    • SimXpert 2012-13
    • Marc Mentat 2012-14
    • Adams/Car 2011-13
    • ANSA 2015
  • Explorer Desktop Client: Users can access SimManager directly from their desktop. It also provides direct support for engineers to get models and related files and upload them back to SimManager.
  • Work Request Workflow Enhancements: Introduces in 2010, Work Request provides the ability to define standard work and tasks as well as provide statuses on a specific tasks. The new release provides a robust workflow management system.
  • Integrated VCollab 3D Model Viewer: This is a vendor neutral, ultra-compact, web friendly generation and viewer for CAD, FEA (finite element analysis) and CAD data.
