3D Systems introduces new temperature-resistant material.

By Sara Ferris

3D Systems (Rock Hill, SC)  introduced Accura Greystone Material, a new engineered nanocomposite material for its SLA (stereolithography apparatus)  systems. The material is designed for motorsport and aerospace applications. According to 3D Systems, it delivers high accuracy, stiffness, and thermal performance as well as long-term stability. The grey-colored nanocomposite material was developed for rigorous, high-pressure wind-tunnel testing,  under-the-hood automotive applications, and other uses that require high thermal resistance. It can be used to insulate electrical components and build accurate and stable jigs and fixtures. Accura Greystone material resists high temperatures and is intended for tooling and other demanding applications.
