Russian CAD vendor Nanosoft has released nanoCAD, its computer aided design application with native .dwg support.

This is a milestone event for nanoCAD as we are now up for an international challenge backed by more than 120 thousands commercial users in Russia, said Dmitry Popov, development director at Nanosoft.  What was a pure idea three years ago has now become a full-featured CAD application equally recognized by both home and business users. nanoCAD has been specifically architected to help enterprises experience a seamless transition to emerging cost effective model of using a CAD application. Any engineer or designer who have previously used popular CAD applications will find it very easy to start using nanoCAD from the very first run.

The 2D design software includes a Classic CAD interface, which makes training easier, and native .dwg support. Projects created using nanoCAD and saved as .dwg file can be opened and edited in any CAD application. The solution also allows for creating and editing 2D and 3D vector primitives, texts, tables, blocks, graphical technical documentation displays, and print settings using either a model or a sheet.

nanoCAD has a traditional CAD application programming interface (API)  that allows developing independent nanoCAD-based applications and additional automation modules. Access to the nanoCAD developer club is granted after the registration at the community site.
