“An Introduction to Simulayt’s Composites Modeler for Femap” will be presented Thursday, Feb. 11 from 8 to 9 a.m. PST.

The lecture will provide an introduction to the modeling of composites in the Femap environment using the Composites Modeler add-in. During this presentation, attendees will be given an overview of:

  • Ply Modeling
  • Property Generation
  • Property Verification and Visualization
  • Ply Results Plotting
  • Failure Criteria
  • Composites Data Transfer from CAD to Femap
    •  

Ian Cowley, technical consultant for Simulayt Limited will give the presentation. He has more than 20 years of experience in the composites industry.

The course is intended for designers and analysts who are designing composite parts and are using Femap. It will also be useful for composites engineers who are considering this application.
