Friendship Systems has released a new version of its premium CAE-Software, FRIENDSHIP-Framework.

Upgrades to the new version include syntax highlighting for functions within feature definitions and all GUI editors, which the company says makes it easier to read and understand expressions; performance improvements for feature definitions up to a factor of 2 for complex definitions; and new control statements and ready-to-use creation snippets in feature definitions for quicker and easier writing.

The solution also includes a step-by-step debugger in feature definitions to track each single step and variable values of a command sequence. Developable surfaces are now available, and a new design engine called Design Lab allows easy and intuitive creation of variants by using sliders for design variables, the company says.

There is also a new style for the graphical user interface (GUI). The system also includes a fine-tuned drag and drop mechanism along with new comprehensive implementations for auto-completion.
