Next Limit Technologies has announced Maxwell for Google SketchUp, which offers SketchUp users the benefits of advanced rendering in a free, custom-built solution.

The Maxwell system is a stand-alone solution, compatible with Windows and OSX, that contains its own render engine designed for and fully integrated into the Google SketchUp 3D modeling program. Users can achieve quality renders using Maxwell Render,  but without having to leave the SketchUp interface. It is available as a free plug-in, or a licensed version can be purchased for $95. The licensed version offers high-definition resolution, and renders in Maxwell Fire using both draft and production modes.
