Nor-Tech Launches HPC ROI Resource

Nor-Tech has just launched a site to demonstrate ROI (return on investment) of an HPC (high-performance computing) cluster for Abaqus FEA (finite element analysis) simulations. This tool, which is a collaboration between Intel, Dassault Systèmes and Nor-Tech, provides a real-time estimate of time and cost savings per simulation.

According to a company press release, benchmark tests show dramatic performance increases and significant cost benefits of running Abaqus FEA on an Intel Cluster Ready Certified cluster with next-generation Intel Xeon processors.

Nor-Tech’s HPC clusters use Linux or Windows-based operating systems. Speed-up is realized on all FEA simulations, with the most impressive improvements on medium-to-large-sized projects, the company states.
