ANSYS, Inc. (Southpointe, PA) announced that Brazilian-based Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras, an integrated oil and gas company, will use multiple simulation and modeling applications from ANSYS in pursuit of its initiatives in product and process design, enhancing its production, refining, and processing. Currently, technology from ANSYS is a part of the design process at Petrobras’ Research and Development Center (CENPES). Oil and gas-affiliated companies use multiphysics and HPC-based engineering simulation solutions from ANSYS applications for field development decisions based on economic and technologic viability.
