Paradigm Imaging Group Introduces HD-Plus Scanner Series

Paradigm Imaging Group (Costa Mesa, CA), a supplier of large-format scanning, printing, and document archiving solutions, announced the release of nine new scanners from Graphtec that comprise the HD-Plus Series.

The 42-inch HD-Plus CS610/510/IS210 scanners feature 600 dpi true optical resolution, maximum resolution up to 9600 dpi (pro models), black and white scan speed of up to nine inches per second (pro models) and a color scan speed of up to three inches per second (pro models). In addition, these upgradeable scanners have no warm-up time, mirrors, or camera lenses, and have a new paper pressure feeding mechanism for improved scanning of wrinkled documents.

Graphtec’s newest 36-inch scanner is the HD-Plus CSX300, which features 600 dpi true optical resolution, maximum resolution up to 9600 dpi, black and white scan speed of up to six inches per second, color scan speed of up to two inches per second, with no warm-up time, mirrors, or camera lenses. The CSX300 also features optical detection of standard paper sizes, convenient face-up document scanning, and “green” manufacturing (all materials on the main scanner unit are recyclable).

The contact image sensor technology used on Graphtec large format scanners utilizes an array of LEDs as the light source, positioned in a staggered pattern across the width of the scanning bed. This approach not only eliminates lens distortion inherent in scanners utilizing CCD technology but also eliminates stitching errors. In addition contact image sensor technology results in sharper edges, clearer lines, and reduced corona effect.

All of the new HD-Plus scanners include Graphtec’s Scanning Master 21-Plus software, enhanced with a scan-print button added for ease-of-use, automatic skew correction, and automatic size detection.

Paradigm Imaging Group recently added scanner installation guides for Graphtec large-format scanners to its web site. Instructional videos are available for the IS200, CS500, CS600 series and SK200 scanners. Subjects include assembly,  scanner driver installation, calibration, and troubleshooting.
