ParallelGraphics (Dublin, Ireland) announced new support for the JTTM data format through membership in the JT Open Program, a global community of leading manufacturers, PLM vendors, and academic institutions focused on supporting and promoting JT, a 3D data format used throughout the global manufacturing industry to facilitate visualization, collaboration and data sharing in the product and tool development processes.

Cortona3D open standards software enables OEMs to reuse existing CAD assets to author lightweight, interactive 3D visualizations and simulations for more effective support documentation across business functional areas. The software automates the import and linking of engineering data which improves accuracy /quality and allows resources to be centrally managed so that future updates and revisions can be efficiently generated. Outputs with real-time updates can be delivered online.

Membership in JT Open is available to any and all end user corporations, independent software vendors (ISVs), academic institutions, and nonprofit industry organizations.
