Patriot Announces Ignite M.2

The solid-state drive has a form factor of 22mm and is ideal for ultrabooks and PCs.

Patriot, a provider of computing hardware, has released the new Ignite M.2 solid-state drive (SSD). This technology is ideal for ultrabooks, notebooks and compact PCs. It can, according to the company, provide impeccable startup times and instant access to data and installed programs.

The M.2’s next-generation form factor free design measures at 22mm and offers read/write speeds of up to 560/320 Mbps. It is powered by the Phison S10 controller and supports Windows 7, 8, 8.1, Vista and Linux operating systems.
