ProtoCAM (Northhampton, PA) announced that the company’s Web site now features enhanced rapid prototyping technical information, and a new ProtoCAM Rapid Prototyping Blog  will allow the company to interact with customers and industry experts.

In addition to providing rich technical information about the company’s RP technologies and materials along with examples of the depth and breadth of RP industrial applications, the Web site continues to provide a free stereolithography (STL) viewer, with detailed instructions for exporting files from computer-assisted design (CAD) software packages into the STL file format, the RP industry standard. Animated videos demonstrate STL and TTV mold technologies.

The new ProtoCAM blog features comments by ProtoCAM’s engineers and RP experts on the RP industry, new developments in RP technologies, and interesting customer projects. ProtoCAM’s Todd Pederzani says, “With lead times for most of our ]SLS] projects being two days, we see a lot of neat projects come through our offices, and we have to think outside the box to find creative solutions to meeting customer needs. When possible (i.e., when allowed by the customer), we will share some of these projects.”

ProtoCAM is an RP service provider and a leading RP manufacturer, providing professional prototype development and engineering assistance for all stages of the prototyping and product development cycle. ProtoCAM is a 3D Systems Preferred Service Provider and a SolidWorks Manufacturing Network Partner.
