3D technical illustration and animation capabilities expand offering.

PTC (Needham: MA)  has released Arbortext IsoDraw 7.0, the newest version of its technical illustration software best known for creating 2D technical illustrations. Key enhancements in Arbortext IsoDraw 7.0 include the ability to create rich 3D illustrations, 2D and 3D animations, direct integration with Pro/ENGINEER, and expanded support for industry standards.

With the addition of new 3D capabilities, companies can now use Arbortext IsoDraw 7.0 for creating both 2D and 3D technical illustrations and animations. Since Arbortext IsoDraw 7.0 is bi-directionally integrated with Pro/ENGINEER, illustrators can leverage it to create technical illustrations and animations directly from Pro/ENGINEER models. Illustrators can open native Pro/ENGINEER files in Arbortext IsoDraw, manipulate models, and automatically update illustrations as designs change.
