QuadriSpace’s (Allen, TX) 3D documentation solution is said to be affordable, easy to use, and “more capable than the competition.”

QuadriSpace says Professional Edition products are $1,795 (compared to competitors $10,000+) and its Entry-level Personal Edition with 3D PDF publishing gets you started for only $95. Benefits include a savings in time, where you spend 80 percent less time creating product documentation and illustrations, reuse 3D data (including bill-of-materials and meta-data information), use an extensive set of 3D tools without learning 3D CAD software, publish 3D to a wide-range of formats (print, web and interactive 3D), and you can update entire documents and illustration sets when 3D CAD models are changed.

Plus, the company says it is as easy to install and use as Microsoft Office, you can import native 3D CAD files directly, no CAD software is required, and you can use a single application that integrates 3D, page design, and versatile publishing outputs. Updates are said to be seamless and you can update entire documents when 3D models change.

To upgrade Personal Edition to Basic, Standard, or Professional series products, or download a free 15-day trial to decide which one is best for you.

In related news, a new online contest for the members of SpaceClaiming, an online community for CAD and design professionals, is hosted by Novedge LLC, the online graphics and design store in which winners can win QuadriSpace software. Sponsored by Novedge and QuadriSpace, the online competition will reward the most original photograph submitted by December 15, 2008, based on the theme “Me, My CAD, and My Computer.” For guidelines to the contest,  please visit QuadriSpace.
