Quickparts (Atlanta, GA)  announced that Dr. Ronald L. Hollis has been recognized with the Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award from the University of Alabama in Huntsville,  which includes the induction into the Order of Engineers and the Distinguished Engineering AlumniAcademy.

Hollis is recognized for the application of his education to the success of his business. Among his successes, Hollis has led the growth of Quickparts.com, Inc. into one of the largest providers of custom parts to the product development community. Also to his credit, Dr. Hollis invented the recently patented online instant quoting system known as QuickQuote used for quoting custom parts over the Web.

Dr. Hollis earned his Masters in Engineering Management and his Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the university.
