Rackable Systems, Inc. (Fremont, CA) announced the availability of 13 new high-performance servers based on two new motherboard offerings featuring the new Intel 5400 chipset.
Leveraging the E5462, E5472, X5472 or X5482 Intel Xeon 5000 series quad-core processors, these servers deliver extreme performance with high clock speeds and a 1600 MHz front side bus. It features 16 memory slots compatible with the latest 800 MHz speed fully buffered DIMMs.
