Rapid Product Development Group, Inc. (RPDG; San Diego, CA) has been awarded ISO-9001:2000 certification for its Mexico Prototype Manufacturing facility. What this means is that the ISO certification process ensures on-going compliance to standards of performance. Once certified, companies are externally audited every six months to ensure their continuous execution of the standards. Procedural changes, training, increased documentation and adjustments to operating systems on every level of the manufacturing process were required in order to conform to ISO 9001:2000 quality assurance standards.
