Rapid Sheet Metal, Inc. (Nashua, NH), specializing in rapid turnaround of sheet metal and stamped metal prototypes, announced that its new in-house, high power laser is reducing cutting lead-times of flat parts by up to 50 percent, enabling the company to meet even tighter turnaround times for its customers.
After a comprehensive review of existing laser technology, Rapid Sheet Metal purchased a Cincinnati CL-7A 4000 watt laser with the dual pallet option, complementing its 2000 watt Cincinnati CL-6 laser purchased in 2006.Cutting at speeds up to 600 inches per minute, the CL-7A can laser up to 3/8-in. thick aluminum and stainless steel, and ½-in. thick steel plate.
