RTT USA, Inc.’s FlexTex is a software package that allows companies to apply virtual materials to their products in a Web environment without having to produce physical material samples.

FlexTex enables companies to select the correct material asset by testing material shaders virtually using a Web browser. In addition to the software, RTT’s experts provide strategic counsel and customized, upfront training to maximize cost savings and facilitate the move from a physical to virtual material process.

Product designers use RTT FlexTex and RTT FlexTex Live to connect to their material suppliers and explore more materials with minimal time and cost spent.

The basic FlexTex package includes five free-moving 3D objects, two environments, and two light scenarios in which the virtual materials are shown. RTT can provide additional 3D objects, environments, and light scenarios as necessary.
