Siemens LMS Test.Lab 14 Now Available

The latest version is equipped for more targeted engineering insights and detailed problem analysis, the company states.

Siemens has launched the latest version of its LMS Test.Lab software. Overall improvements have been made in a variety of testing areas in addition to a new and improved Test.Lab Desktop, which allows users ease of use to compare data between different displays with coupled cursors.

The latest version is equipped for more targeted engineering insights and detailed problem analysis. Real-time data analysis speeds up testing, allowing for a clear, on-the-spot picture of test data, the company states. Extended capabilities provide faster testing for acoustics, structural dynamics, rotating machinery, environmental, durability and data management.

For acoustic testing, version 14 delivers more insights and efficiency with extended pass-by noise certification, enhanced transfer path analysis and root cause analysis.

Structural dynamics testing offers increased flexibility that enables users to analyze structures with upgraded support for triaxial accelerometers connecting to the SCADAS V24 module and improved interaction with graphical models.

Users also have access to online angle-domain testing for LMS Test.Lab Rotating Machinery. This module allows engineers to visualize operational vibrations as well as noise and strain plotted against shaft angle during measurement.

LMS Test.Lab Data Management is now extended to manage and search project collateral documents more efficiently.

Added to Test.Lab 14 is the durability testing, which combines universal, multi-channel data acquisition from a single software platform. The Durability Acquisition module provides a full suite of channel setup, measurement, validation, reporting and data sharing tools.
