SmartCAM 2015 Released

The platform now has an expanded Knowledge-Based Machining library and a handful of usability improvements.

SmartCAMcnc has released SmartCAM 2015. This version includes a new Knowledge-Based Machining (KBM) repository, added High-Speed Machining strategies and a variety of usability improvements. The software is ideal for computer numerically controlled (CNC) milling, turning, fabrication and wire EDM.

The new KBM functionality enables users to store frequently-used toolpath process parameters and apply them later. Part materials can be defined within the applications, as well as speed/feed settings. A new Machine Definition feature saves all files associated with a particular machine for future use.

High-Speed Machining improvements include new roughing and finishing toolpath capabilities. Closed-profile continuous morphing and ramping strategies have also been added. Restmill Region Calculation has also been enhanced.
