For the second year, Spatial (Broomfield, CO) will hold its 3D InterOp Model Contest.
Contestants can use any format supported by Spatial’s InterOp Translators — CATIA V4, CATIA V5, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, and NX, as well as standards STEP (AP203 or AP214) and IGES. The winners will be cross-translated to other formats at the Insiders’ Summit to demonstrate the InterOp Translators.
Submissions should demonstrate innovative use of all of the relevant CAD system’s design and documentation capabilities, including maximum use of assembly modeling, feature modeling, dimensioning, and tolerancing.
The contest runs from July 9, 2007 until September 28, 2007. Three winners will be selected by attendees of Spatial’s 3D Insiders’ Summit in Boulder, Colorado, October 2-3. Prizes are cash awards: $5,000 for first place, $2,500 for second place, and $1,000 for third place. Visit spatial.com/model_contest for more information and submission instructions.
