Stratasys Announces New FDM 3D Printer Ehancements

The materials expand possible applications for prototyping, aerospace and more.

Stratasys has released four new enhanced materials to its FDM-based printers for creating functional product prototypes and end-use parts for a host of applications, the company states.

For sacrificial tooling, Stratasys has released the ST-130 material and new fill patterns. These new offerings provide faster dissolution, rapid build speed and better autoclave performance, according to a company press release.

Expanding aerospace applications is the new ULTEM 9085 aerospace-grade filaments. They are produced according to specification requirements and allows for full production traceability for compliance.

Owners of the 380mc and 450mc 3D printers now work with the smooth matte finish PC-ABS, which can work for power-tool prototyping and industrial equipment.
