It’s easy to think there are just two major players in core virtualization technology, VMware and Microsoft. But there are a couple other players in basic virtualization, VirtualIron is a pretty cool outfit. And then there’s SWsoft (Herndon, VA), which just revamped Virtuozzo, aimed at high-end virtual environments such as data centers, service providers, and server farms.
Virtuozzo 4.0, now in beta, promises greater availability, has an all new UI, and should be easier to manage.
While SWsoft competes with VMware, it was still happy to announce the new product at VMworld!
