SYCODE (Panaji, India) launched a set of three CAD file conversion programs. DWG DXF Converter, IGES STEP Converter, and Mesh Converter.

With DWG DXF Converter, the software converts between AutoCAD DWG, DXF and DXB (Binary DXF) file formats without the need of AutoCAD. This utility is capable of reading and writing all versions of DWG, DXF and DXB files, from AutoCAD Release 2.5 all the way up to AutoCAD 2008.

With the IGES STEP Converter, the software converts between the IGES and STEP neutral file formats.

The Mesh Converter is software to convert between various mesh file formats. The supported file mesh file formats are: AutoCAD DWG/DXF, 3D Studio 3DS, Rhinoceros 3DM, Stereolithography STL and Wavefront OBJ.

All the utilities come with a batch conversion tool that convert multiple CAD files at once. They also have support for command line parameters, making them useful tools to automate CAD file conversion from another application. They can be called from another program with the input file name and output file name as command line parameters and the software will convert the file silently in the background without showing itself. Using this feature they can seamlessly be integrated into a CAD user’s existing workflow.

The utilities are priced at 195 Euro each ($287) and are available as fully functional 10 day/run trials. The software comes with detailed documentation in the form of a compiled HTML help file which contains a step-by-step tutorial to get the end user started in the shortest possible time.
