CAD/CAM solution includes automated NC programming and enables faster machining.

Tebis Version 3.5 is now available. According to the company, the new version enables lower tool wear, shorter lead times, higher machine utilization, completely automated NC programming, and faster NC machining.

Intelligent NC templates adapt their machining sequences, strategies, and parameters to material, machine, and geometry. The system applies rules to select the required tools from the current tool magazine in accordance with the geometry. Because the templates adapt to the manufacturing situations, users only need a few to machine a large number of geometries.

Completely automated NC programming for drill holes and pockets has become even simpler, thanks to the intelligent NC templates and the predefined technology packages. The automatic element selection, continuation NCJobs, and new CAM functions result in automatic NC programming for part modifications and related components. NC programs can be documented at the touch of a button, the company says. The Healing automatism generates highly accurate surface models for every application in the CAD sector

Roughing and re-roughing will be up to three times faster for large components, the company says. The job manager simplifies and accelerates the tasks of the NC programmers. The cutting data administration ensures optimum cutting data for every machining situation, accelerating the processing at the machines.

Numerous improvements to the user interface, including individually configurable toolbars for all functions and an even more logical menu structure, provide more user-friendliness. The functions for NC programming have also been improved across all modules and will simplify work, thanks in part to the perfect integration of the job manager in all machinings.
