New CAE offering uses popular graphics platform to power display.

Tech Soft 3D (TS3D;  Berkeley ,  CA ) and Comet Solutions (  Albuquerque ,  NM ) announced a licensing agreement whereby Comet will use TS3D’s HOOPS component as its core graphics engine.

The technical team at Comet chose HOOPS to be the graphics foundation of its product in order to focus on its approach to simulation while also ensuring that its display capabilities were at least as powerful as any other popular CAE package.

Use of HOOPS enabled the Comet team to speed application development, getting its initial release to market faster than would otherwise have been possible.
