The new iTCX Transmitter from OMEGA Engineering Inc. (Stamford, CT) monitors temperature from two independent thermocouple channels over an Ethernet network or the internet and gives the user real-time readings.

The transmitter features OMEGA’s iServer technology and requires a Web browser but no special software.

The virtual chart recorder logs data in standard formats for use in a spreadsheet or data acquisition program such as Excel or Visual Basic. It can also send critical information via email or text message, reporting the status or alarm condition to any person or distribution list.

Priced at $295, the OMEGA iTCX is available in an industrial DIN rail package (iTCX-D) or in a benchtop or wall-mount package (iTCX-W). PC-based monitoring is recommended for the chemical, water, petroleum, or environmental industries. For more information, click here.
