Third Wave Systems to Showcase AdvantEdge 6.4 at IMTS

Improvements include indexable drilling, parallel computing scalability and more flexible licensing.

Third Wave Systems, a provider of CAE software solutions for machining, will release the latest version of AdvantEdge this month and showcase its new features at the International Manufacturing Technology Show in September.

The latest version of AdvantEdge incorporates customer needs, including enhancements to indexable drilling, parallel computing scalability and flexible licensing availability, the company states. There is also improved capabilities for simulating tool holders, multiple cutting inserts, center drilling pilot inserts and creating in-cut workpieces.

AdvantEdge 6.4 will also include updated parallel computing scalability, which has been tested on up to 40-cores on a shared memory machine. Licensing will be available for multiple small simulations or several highly parallel large simulations.

IMTS is taking place in Chicago from September 8 to 13.
