Two new Toshiba Qosmio X305 (Q708 and Q706) laptops from Toshiba (Irvine, CA) demonstrate flexibility and innovation as the first laptops to use three NVIDIA (Santa Clara, CA) GPUs and also the first GeForce 9M Series SLI laptops. Toshiba’s flagship gaming notebook uses all NVIDIA core logic and GPUs — a GeForce 9400M and two GeForce 9800M GTS GPUs — to deliver fast gaming performance in SLI mode and quite operation in Hybrid power mode.
The design featuring three NVIDIA GPUs enables the Qosmio X305-Q708 and X305-Q706 laptops to deliver scorching gaming performance by combining the horsepower of two discrete GeForce 9800M GTS GPUs with NVIDIA SLI technology, and allows the option of switching to a quiet operation mode with NVIDIA Hybrid SLI technology.
In Hybrid SLI operation, the 9800M GTS GPUs are powered down and graphics operation is transferred to the GeForce 9400M GPU.
