September 19, 2007 — The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech (Cincinnati, OH) introduces the TPC-1270H 12.1-in. SVGA TFT LCD Touch Panel Computer with a powerful — yet low-power consumption — Intel Pentium M 1.4GHz/Celeron M 1GHz processor.

The fanless 12.1-in. Touch Panel Computer is fanless to improve maintenance-free operation, yet can support full Windows such as XP Professional, as well as embedded operating systems such as XPe. The standard mass storage media is reliable non-rotating CompactFlash, but an HDD can be added for higher storage capacity.

The TPC-1270H is ultra slim, light, and vibration resistant, making this design suitable for HMI platforms for most automation applications in any critical environment.

Other features include 1x 10/100Base-T and 1x 10/100/1000Base-T LAN, 3x RS-232 and 1x RS-232/485/422 serial ports, 4x USB 2.0 serial ports, and 1x VGA port. Also, a version with 2x 10/100Base-T LAN ports is available.

The TPC-1270H starts at $1,695.
