Triad Software has launched its Multi CAD viewer Express 3D product.
Express 3D is a CAD independent viewer that can display 3D data from CATIA V4, V5, Creo (Pro/Engineer), NX (Unigraphics), SolidWorks, Solid Edge, JT, Parasolid, IGES, STEP, STL, 3D PDF and CGR formats without requiring a license of the CAD system that authored the data.
Express 3D’s viewers display entity tree, assemblies with product structure, colors, reference entities and annotations. The viewers also have options to display standard views, manipulate camera operations, shade modes and more. The system’s tools enable users to perform accurate measurements, compute mass properties, study cross-section details, view product information, access parent-child relationship, and collaborate using markup and redlining.
“As anticipated OEMs and suppliers from automotive, machine tools and mold and die manufacturing industries expressed an interest in Express 3D,” said S.N. Kishore, Triad’s vice president of operations. “Customers were particularly excited by the fact that Express 3D is locally developed in Chennai, which provides users the ability to receive quick turn around on support and enhancement requests. This has prompted Triad to significantly increase the development team to accelerate new product releases.”
