Robert McNeel & Associates (Seattle, WA) is offering updates to RhinoScript for Rhino 4.0 SR4, according to the McNeel Wiki.
RhinoScript is a scripting language based on Microsoft’s VBScript language. With RhinoScript, you can quickly add functionality to Rhino, or automate repetitive tasks. The Labs version of RhinoScript contains additions and modifications to the version of RhinoScript included with Rhino 4.0 SR4.
New methods include ExplodeMeshes, LineClosestPoint, LinesFartherThan, LineMaxDistanceTo, LineMinDistanceTo, LinePlane, and LineTransform.
Rhinoceros 4.0 is for editing, modeling and designing in a versatile 3D environment. It offers an intuitive interface, performance on almost every system, and great versatility in every field of application. Rhinoceros can create, edit, analyze, and translate NURBS curves, surfaces, and solids with no limits on complexity, degree, or size.
Rhino also supports polygon meshes and point clouds, and users can download the plug-in.
Also, users can download a Rhino 4.0 SR4b Evaluation and the Rhino blog indicates that Rhino-NC has just been released.
