Merger creates world's third-largest CAD/CAM vendor.

Vero Software has merged with Planit Holdings, a leading developer of CAD/CAM software for the production engineering, sheet metal, metal fabrication and woodworking sector. The Planit Group offers its software products under the Edgecam, Alphacam, Cabinet Vision, CabnetWare, Javelin and Radan brands.

According to CIMData, the merger creates the worlds third largest CAD/CAM vendor. The deal was funded by Boston-based Battery Ventures.
