CNC Software (Tolland, CT), which has added downloadable video demonstrations, narrated overviews, and documents highlighting the streamlined flow and flexibility of new tools, announced its What’s New video covering Mastercam X2’s second Maintenance Release.

Mastercam is a Windows-based CAD/CAM software for 2- through 5-axis milling and turning; 2- and 4-axis wire EDM; 2D and 3D design, surface,  and solid modeling; and 2D and 3D routing.

The videos highlight the new functionality in Mastercam X2 MR2, including new peel milling, new saw toolpath, more powerful machining boundaries, new surface creation, and more. It features not only what’s new for existing customers updating to Mastercam X2, but gives an overview of what Mastercam can do for a new customer in seven areas, including the new Mastercam X interface and demonstrates how to use it and why you may want to use it in specific ways. Actual workflow demonstrations of 2D and 3D design using Mastercam’s highly graphical and flexible Sketcher tools are included as well as Multiaxis machining and high speed toolpaths.

See how Mastercam’s High Feed Optimization can handle your tooling and machine tool’s capabilities, and view videos on the Machine and Control Definition Toolkit.
