VX Corporation (Melbourne, FL) announces Offset3D Feature Aware Machining to help mold-makers produce high quality, smooth surfaced molds with crisp, fine highlights.

The new QuickMill machining tactic is fully integrated with CAD and can help mold-makers keep up with part and mold designs that change often; Feature Aware Machining also produces accurate toolpaths.

Mold-makers who machine complex core/cavity shapes derived from non-native CAD models, STL representations, and even point cloud data can maintain and preserve product features in the finished mold. They target highlight areas, and automatically adjust toolpath motion to preserve sharp-edge detail and maximize tool cutting efficiency with high-speed enabled motion.

Offset3D Feature Aware Machining will be available with the  when VX CAD/CAM Version 13 is released in September 2007.
